Development of A Compact and Low Profile Cavity Backed Slot Antenna Using Microstrip Gap Waveguide Technology
Proof of concept of a cavity backed slot antenna based on inverted microstrip gap waveguide (IMGW) technology is presented. Since the antenna is operating based on the first resonating mode of the cavity, it is more compact compared to the ordinary cavity backed slot antennas in which the second cavity mode is used for radiation. Furthermore, the proposed antenna element introduces lower lo...
متن کاملBaSE-II: A Robust and Experimental Galileo PRS Receiver Development Platform
This paper features an experimental Galileo PRS receiver with a novel BOC tracking method and interference mitigation algorithms in time, frequency and spatial domain. The modified BaSE-II hardware architecture is outlined including a newly designed miniaturized 2x2 array antenna. A new, reliable and robust BOC tracking method is presented that fully exploits the subcarrier accuracy and allows ...
متن کاملAn Analysis of Multipath Mitigation Techniques suitable for Geodetic Antennas
Roke Manor Research has been actively involved in the development of a geodetic-grade receiver and antenna for Galileo under the “Advanced Receiver Terminal for User Services" (ARTUS) programme, supported by the European GNSS Supervisory Authority (GSA). A paper [1] was presented by Roke at ION GNSS 2006 (and was subsequently featured in GPS World magazine, Feb 2007) which described the develop...
متن کاملA Broadband CPW-Fed Printed Single-Patch Antenna for Galileo Applications
In this research work a novel and compact broadband U-shaped CPW-Fed single-patch antenna is proposed for Galileo applications. The enhanced performance of the single patch antenna relevant to Galileo signal reception and coverage is presented through simulation and analysis using Microwave Office for the purpose of establishing in depth the benefits of antennas in modern navigation apparatus a...
متن کاملDevelopment of an Enhanced Gain Substrate Integrated Waveguide H-plane Horn Antenna Using Thin Substarte
In this paper a dual band and high gain H-plane horn antenna implemented by substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) using a single layer thin substrate is introduced. The proposed antenna consists of five parts of rectangular waveguide with different width arranged in a staircase manner to allow mode combination of fundamental and higher propagating modes of the structure. By adjusting the length ...
